Transforming Ideas into Sonic Experiences

Charlie Nipanan is a Bangkok-based Sonic Experience Designer whose work explores the intersection of sound, design, technology, and human experience. Through Codex Sound Lab, he creates sonic identities, immersive environments, and interactive audio experiences that help brands, spaces, and cultural projects communicate in meaningful ways.

Over the past decade, Charlie has collaborated with global brands, creative agencies, architects, artists, and cultural organizations across advertising, exhibitions, retail, public installations, documentaries, and live performances. His selected clients and collaborators include Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Toyota, SCB, OPPO, Jim Thompson, Cadson Demak, BOYY, and Bangkok Design Week.

Originally trained in advertising and visual communication, Charlie later studied Music Production and Audio Engineering at Pyramind in San Francisco. This multidisciplinary background allows him to approach sound as a strategic design material—one that shapes identity, evokes emotion, and strengthens the relationship between people, products, and places.

Alongside commercial collaborations, Charlie continues to develop experimental projects that combine sound with interaction, spatial design, and creative technology. His practice ranges from sonic branding and interactive installations to spatial audio, generative systems, and performance, driven by a belief that great sound does more than communicate—it creates experiences people remember.
